OCTOBER LONG WEEKEND HOSTED BY THE LACHLAN ENDURANCE RIDERS CLUB

The Lachlan Endurance Riders Club once again have the privilege of running the NSW State Championships at Woodstock, having done so in 1995, 1997 and 2010, as well as having run the Tom Quilty back in 2003.

There is much experience and depth in this Lachlan Club and we would love to welcome riders once again to Woodstock in Spring when the country is at its best. This year we have been honoured to receive amazing major sponsorship from Franco C Saddlery from South Africa as well as numerous studs, clubs and merchants coming on board and listed below.

NSW Endurance also generously gives large financial support to the State Ride. There are still packages available for rugs, product and trophies, please contact Louise Piddington at elaararabians@gmail.com if you are interested in receiving a prospectus.

The Ride: The Championship ride commences at Midnight Saturday and closes midnight Sunday. The course will be a mixture of gravel laneways, paddocks and good verge along bitumen in small sections. It will be 5 legs gate into hold with Pre-ride commencing at 11am Saturday.

The 80kms No Frills Woodstock ride will commence at 5am unless local factors dictate otherwise.

There will be NO intermediate rides.

Please note that Daylight Saving Time will officially commence on Sunday 1st October at 3.00am. As a result of this, we will be adding one (1) hour to our clocks at the end of the pre-ride talk. The ride will be run under Eastern Daylight Saving Time (EDST).

PRE RIDE TALK: Saturday 30th September starting at 4.30pm EST RIDE BASE – Woodstock Showground, Robinson Street, Woodstock NSW 2793 Ride Base will open from Wednesday, 27th September 2017 Ride Base will close on Tuesday, 3rd October 2017 Shower & Toilet blocks on site. Portable toilets will be available for the weekend of the ride. Limited firewood will be available. We ask that you do not hoard firewood and it would be helpful to bring some of your own as well.

Communications: The local Back Creek and Waugoola Bush Fire Brigades will run the communications to various checkpoints. Please bring an FM radio to hear any announcements. 

The Team: Head veterinarian will be Georgiana Sheridan assisted by Georgia Ladmore, Sarah Weary, Darien Feary Course Vet; Danni Justus The Chief Steward will once again be Tom McCormack ably assisted by 2IC Chris Cheney and Shaun Pollard, Tony Warren and Neil Clarkson. Chief Stewards will give a ‘Walk Through’ of the vetting procedures of Gate into Hold approximately 3.30pm Saturday.

Fees: the Championship will be $320 in total or a $100 non-refundable nomination fee to be paid with the balance by the 15th September. $300 refund available if withdrawn by this date for those who pay early. $220 refund for those who withdraw prior to 22nd September. THERE WILL BE NO LATE ENTRIES. Fee for the 80kms No Frills ride is $110 with a non-refundable nomination fee of $30 with the same rules as above. LATE ENTRIES will attract a fee of $30, making total of $140 on the day.

Entries: All entries will be made through Trybooking.com prior to the weekend and payment made to that facility. All enquiries to Helen Lindsay kintamaniarabs@bigpond.com We are anticipating nomination forms, information package, Horse Health Declarations (10 days) and possibly even the Breakfast booking will be made through this facility from the beginning of July. Any forms NOT FILLED IN ENTIRELY and CORRECTLY will be returned and NOT ACCEPTED until such time as returned. Horses may be changed on the day as unforeseen circumstances dictate but RIDERS must be nominated by the due dates on the form. The office will open at 10am Saturday til 4pm Saturday. Please bring all your gear for weighing by our steward who will write weights directly into your Logbook. Please fill in your own Logbooks before approaching the girls in the office.

Catering: The Woodstock P & C will be providing the catering from Friday night until Monday morning and a Breakfast will be catered for on Monday morning whilst you enjoy the workouts for Best Conditioned Horse and Presentation.

Merchandise: Limited Woodstock NSWERA State Championship merchandise will be available, and purchase will commence as soon as it hits our website and facebook page TBA.
