Static Display

The static display will be a display of actual items, photographs, video’s  and memorabilia commemorating the history of the Tom Quilty. This will be provided, by request, from members of the endurance community and other interested parties. This may consist of any items deemed to be of interest and historical significance to the large numbers of visitors expected to be attending this celebration of the 50th year of the Tom Quilty Gold Cup Endurance Ride.

This event will be a salute and recognition of those horses and riders who have gone before, those who have blazed the trails, those who have stood in the rain and frost waiting until midnight for their riders. To the veterinarians, who without these men and women, Endurance would not be the world wide activity it is today. To all the many hundreds of volunteers, time keepers , gate keepers, to all those who have interesting and varied experiences, and all those who have been responsible  in some way for keeping this world famous event alive and growing

Many of you will have a story to tell, a gold cup on  your mantle shelf, or the cup that got away, that piece of old tarnished metal, with its very special and unique shape.. the famous Quilty Buckle. Or the special photos and video clips.We are particularly interested in any older film clips that can be converted to digital format, even it is a very short clip it is those famous Quilty photographers and scribes that will tell this story. So have a look in your cupboards , you may be surprised with what you find!
